Ethan Begin didn’t allow a single run as Chargers defeated Newbury Park Panthers JV 15-0 on Friday. Begin allowed just four hits.
Chargers secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fifth inning. Chargers big bats were led by Ty Starling, Brent Elbert, Beau Lantz, Tiger Ibanez, and Cooper Reyes, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Chargers got things started in the first inning. Chargers scored two runs when Starling homered.
Chargers tallied nine runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by walks by Elbert and Ibanez, a triple by Reyes, a single by Starling, and a fielder’s choice by Lantz.
A single by Carrera in the first inning was a positive for Newbury Park Panthers JV.
