Calabasas Captures Lead Early to Defeat Agoura Varsity Chargers

Agoura Varsity Chargers fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-7 loss to Calabasas on Wednesday. Calabasas scored on a single by D Gonzalez in the first inning, a double by T Shulman in the first inning, a walk by P Call in the first inning, a single by M Shulman in the first inning, and a walk by N Castellon in the first inning.

Despite the loss, Agoura Varsity Chargers did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Calabasas had ten hits on the way to victory.

L Olson was credited with the victory for Calabasas. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. L Atkinson threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Atkinson recorded the last 11 outs to earn the save for Calabasas.

Sam Rowley took the loss for Agoura Varsity Chargers. Rowley lasted one-third of an inning, allowing four hits and seven runs while walking one.

P Lynch started the game for Calabasas. The fireballer surrendered four runs on one hit over one-third of an inning

Ethan Kearney went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Agoura Varsity Chargers in hits.

Calabasas tallied ten hits on the day. Shulman, Gonzalez, Shulman, and Castellon each collected multiple hits for Calabasas.
