Reyes’s Walk-off Seals the Deal in Chargers Victory Over Saugus Junior Varsity Centurions
Chargers seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Saugus Junior Varsity Centurions. The game was tied at three with Chargers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Cooper Reyes singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Saugus Junior Varsity Centurions got things moving in the first inning, when Daniel Harris grounded out, scoring one run.
Ethan Begin was on the hill for Chargers. Begin allowed five hits and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Matthew Johnson toed the rubber for Saugus Junior Varsity Centurions. The pitcher surrendered four runs on nine hits over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
