Chargers Grabs Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Westlake Warriors JV
Chargers ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-5 victory over Westlake Warriors JV on Monday. The game was tied at four with Chargers batting in the top of the sixth when Cory Baer grounded out, scoring one run.
Westlake Warriors JV fired up the offense in the first inning, when Derrick Walker drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Westlake Warriors JV tied things up at four. Braeden Smith grounded out, scoring one run.
Tiger Ibanez got the win for Chargers. Ibanez allowed four hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four. Donovan Anthony threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Anthony recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Chargers.
Dylan Ramsey started the game for Westlake Warriors JV. The bulldog surrendered two runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Bryce Lermer, Mac McKinley, and Peter Perniciaro each contributed in relief for Westlake Warriors JV.
